The day after one of the biggest blows for the Super League, FIFA president Gianni Infantino announced in a press conference that the 2025 Club World Cup will be held in Morocco, as well as also speaking about other international footballing news.
"There will be a Club World Cup in 2025 with 32 teams", the president said decisively. After this, he gave a big piece of news that it has not been ruled out there being groups of four teams in the 2026 World Cup.
Previously, he seemed very optimistic about the next tournament: "Football has a lot of power and we believe that it has a big impact. About the next World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada, we're convinced it will be another great event. Three great countries, 48 teams, more games, more money for everyone".
To end his press conference, he proudly revealed the earnings of the World Cup: "We can confirm that we have earned 7.5 billion in these last four years, 1 billion more than the last one".
