Andres Iniesta did an interview with 'TyC Sports' because he is back in the media spotlight as he will be a World Cup commentator. The footballer was very optimistic with regards to Spain's chances in Qatar, and he spoke, among other things, about Argentinian players.
The midfielder talked about several countries' chances to succeed France as world champions: "Brazil could easily be up there, together with Spain and maybe France who I think will be in and amongst it". What is more, he spoke about Argentina's chances: "They are always in with a chance, and if Leo Messi in the team, definitely".
The ex-Barcelona player was full of praise for Leo Messi: "He's different to anyone else, he's been the best for the last 10 years and he still is. He has only improved, got better, and made his teammates better. A team with Leo in it has a big chance of winning games and titles".
"It's never easy for him to return to Barca. Could it happen? Of course it could, but I don't know. It's still a possibility", he said about a possible return for the Argentine to his most-loved club.
Finally, he spoke about his relationship with Juan Roman Riquelme: "We exchanged a few messages and we've kept in touch. We were teammates at Barca, but I was very young, and it was great to see him in the dressing room and see him train and play. I'd like for him to invite me to La Bombonera, the atmosphere there is spectacular".
