It's not all good news for Manchester City. Kevin De Bruyne had to be replaced by Mateo Kovacic in the 23rd minute due to injury.
The Belgian playmaker got injured in the Champions League final against Inter Milan but seemed to be recovered to start the season with the Sky Blues. This is a huge blow for Pep Guardiola's side despite leading 2-0 thanks to Erling Haaland's brace.
It's unknown whether the 32-year-old will be available for the European Super Cup showdown against Sevilla. The two sides will meet in Athens on 16th August at 21.00 CEST.
The Belgian international has not had the best start to the season as he came on as a substitute in the Community Shield final against Arsenal and played just 23 minutes of the opening Premier League game.
