Italy lack Euro talent, says Mourinho
Fenerbahce coach Jose Mourinho has given his prediction for Euro 2024 on TV channel 'RTP' and the Italian national team did not come out of it very well. "I can't find enough talent to win," he said. The former Roma man explained that for him the favourites are Portugal, England and France.

Jose Mourinho is not one to mince his words and has once again caused controversy with his statements. This time he has provoked unrest in Italy, where he last coached before joining Fenerbahce, because of his opinion on the Azzurri's chances at the next European Championship.
The Portuguese coach was asked about his favourite teams to win the European Championship and highlighted Portugal, England and France. Moreover, he mentioned Germany and Spain as second favourites.
"Italy as European champions? I don't think so. They don't have enough talent to win. They won the last one, but I don't believe in a second time," he explained. These words have not gone down well in the country and with the Roman fans, as several of their former players are in the Italian squad.
Mourinho also spoke of his time in the Italian capital and in London: "I needed to play to win, to fight to not lose a single point, this was not the case at Roma and Tottenham."
