Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak admitted on Wednesday, after the 4-0 defeat to Benfica in the Champions League, that his team had a bad game, in which "nobody is saved."
"It was a very bad game. It looks like we weren't there and it's a shame to lose like that. To leave an image like that is not good at all and you can't say much more. We weren't there and it was a bad game. The worst match of this season. We can't afford it," he told “Movistar Liga de Campeones” after the game at the Estadio de la Luz in Lisbon.
"We have not been and not much more can be said. No one is free from blame. We have to accept that and move on," added Oblak. "It's clear that we didn't compete. Why? I don't know. We can't afford this and now looking for excuses doesn't make any sense. We have been bad. We have to accept it and continue working because on Sunday we have a difficult game coming up in San Sebastian."
"We have had certain warnings, we have spoken many times that we started badly in the first halves and again today. We started badly. You have to get into games well at the start because, if you don't, the opponents are strong, they have good players and they punish you," he said.
