"It's difficult not to get emotional at Atleti, we are a very big club"

The Brazilian Samuel Lino, player of Atletico Madrid, declared that despite having only been with the ‘Rojiblanco’ team for one season, the people have made him ‘feel very loved’ and confessed that the fans feel as if they were part of the family and that he notices that there is ‘a lot of feeling and heart’.
"We feel the fans as if they were part of our family. I've only been here for one season and the people have made me feel very loved. Lino praised the great squad that they have by highlighting that it is ‘very strong and with great players’, he acknowledged that at the beginning it was difficult for him to adapt to his new position as left winger, especially in the defensive phase as he was used to playing in more advanced positions.
"When I started in this new position, it was in the defensive phase that I had the most doubts. I was trying to close the right spaces and go where I was told to go. However, when we had the ball I was calmer because I knew what I had to do. The confidence of the coach and my team-mates helped me a lot to transform the difficult into easy", confessed the winner of the prize awarded by the Mahou beer company.
The Brazilian, who closed the season with a goal in the last match against Real Sociedad, has been a fundamental player in Diego Simeone's system, Atletico Madrid's coach, thanks to his great numbers playing on the wing where he has scored 4 goals and 5 assists in 34 league games.
