Lamine Yamal is the talk of world football, and rightly so. At just 18 years old, he is performing at the level of the world's best, if not the very best, showcasing his talent in virtually every match. It's therefore understandable that other stars are full of praise for the Barcelona winger.
The latest to do so is Harry Kane. The Bayern Munich striker, fresh from winning the German Super Cup against Stuttgart, spoke to 'Marca' about the Spanish international.
"Lamine is a fantastic player. Obviously, what he's doing at such a young age is incredible. He looks like he has a huge future ahead of him. Let's see if we face Barcelona in the Champions League this year. I'm really happy for him, he's a fantastic player," he said.
With the first objective achieved, Kane is already looking ahead to the season, where he will aim to win the Bundesliga and the Champions League: "The Champions League will be similar to every year. We will be one of the favourites, PSG, Madrid, Barcelona, City, Liverpool... all the big teams will have their eyes on this trophy."
"There's a long way to go from now until that final. We're looking forward to the draw at the end of the month to see who we'll play in the group stage. Step by step, we try to move in the right direction," said the English forward.
However, Bayern's immediate focus is elsewhere: "We're more focused on the Bundesliga. We have a big game at the Allianz to start the season next Friday night. We need to show what we showed today, the attitude and the desire to go out there and be hungry to try and put ourselves in a good position in the league."
