Ferran Torres said that they play every game ‘as if it were a final’ and, after beating Switzerland, he said that ‘a win like this feels like ten times as good'. "We knew how to suffer, the important thing was the team overcoming the sending off. We are a family more than a team, we get on very well and you can see that on the pitch," he said in the mixed zone of the Geneva stadium.
Ferran Torres provided an assist and scored Spain's fourth goal in the second half. He highlighted the fighting spirit and sacrifice of the whole team after Robin Le Normand was sent off in the first half.
"It was clear that we hardly touched the ball in the second half, but we were able to defend and make the most of our strengths. A win like that feels like ten," he said.
"I knew I wasn't going to be able to show much offensively because I was going to have to help a lot in defence, but I was confident I would get my chances and I took them. It won't be a European Championship or a World Cup, but we approach every game as if it were a final. It was noticeable how we celebrated in the six-yard box", he concluded.
