Ivan Juric arrived at Roma's training complex on Wednesday to lead his first session as the Italians' new coach following the unexpected sacking of Daniele De Rossi.
Juric, who coached Torino for the past three seasons, will take charge of the club until June 2025. The Croatian coach arrived in the capital this morning to finalise the deal with the Friedkin family, who flew to the Italian capital on Monday to discuss De Rossi's sacking, which was made official on Wednesday morning.
In the event of Champions League qualification at the end of the season, according to Italian media reports, Juric would have a renewal option.
The coach is expected to debut on Sunday against Serie A leaders Udinese, and shortly after, on 26 September, he will play the first matchday of the Europa League at the Stadio Olimpico against Athletic.
On Wednesday afternoon, at around 17.00 CEST, he will conduct his first session as Roma coach. Juric, who played for Albacete and Sevilla as a player, has been coaching in the Italian top flight since 2016, when he started at Genoa. Since then, he has coached Hellas Verona and Torino.
