After making a positve start to life as a Chelsea player, with three assists in his first three games, things haven't quite gone to plan for Jadon Sancho. The former Red Devils winger has not featured for the Blues in over a month, when they played Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League.
He was left on the bench by Enzo Maresca during clashes against Panathinaikos and Newcastle, with the Italian manager later explaining his decisions were purely "tactical". The following game saw Chelsea facing the Man United, but Sancho was not allowed to partake in it due to the conditions of his loan. Meanwhile, he was reportedly out due to illness for the fixtures against Noah and Arsenal.
However, there's light at the end of the tunnel as Chelsea confirmed the winger was present in Monday's training session with the team. "Back at base," read the post from the club on X - formerly known as Twitter - with a picture of Sancho showing the thumbs underneath.
As Chelsea prepare to get back to Premier League action, Maresca could look to involve the Englishman in Chelsea's early kick off at Leicester on Saturday. Whether he is fit to start remains a question mark, but Maresca could opt to give Sancho minutes off the bench.
