Everyone at Chelsea is enjoying Joao Felix's current footballing form. Despite not getting off to a good start, the Portuguese has managed to adapt to the football being played at Stamford Bridge as the days go by.
But the situation is not all roses, because if the Blues fail to qualify for the Champions League next season, the Portuguese would leave London. According to 'Marca', Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo is only considering his departure for no less than 100 million euros.
The amount the Spanish capital club are asking for can be afforded by Chelsea, but only if they play in Europe's top club competition in 2023-24. Todd Boehly, the club's owner, was attracted by the Portuguese's start in both the Premier League and Champions League.
With their mind set on the quarter-finals against Real Madrid, the Blues will think twice about whether to pay the fee or whether the former Benfica man should return to Madrid at the end of the current season.
