Barcelona are moving to comply with the 'Financial Fair Play' in order to be able to sign Leo Messi. One of the issues to be addressed is the salary of the first team players.
Jordi Alba met with Joan Laporta on Monday for an informal lunch, where they discussed the full-back's future. The player wants to stay at Barcelona and feels he has the strength to fight for a starting place.
'Jijantes' claimed that Laporta had asked him to reduce his current salary by up to 60%, something he has done on previous occasions. But both 'AS' and 'Sport' denied this.
In fact, Jordi Alba's inner circle contacted 'AS' to categorically deny such a proposal. Laporta would not have asked him to reduce his salary again.
Sport' indicated that it was a lunch that had been pending for months, in an informal way, and in which no contractual issues were discussed for the future.
