Real Madrid's Englishman Jude Bellingham said that Spain's Joselu Mato "was a bit embarrassed to miss so many chances" before making it 4-2 and that he tried to set up him so that he could finally score in the 4-2 win over Napoli.
"We are a family. We are a big team. When one of us is going through a bad moment, it's important to support him. I tried to find him inside the box and fortunately I managed to do it," he said on 'Movistar+'.
"He always does great, he was a bit embarrassed about missing so many chances, but it's football and we have to support him until the end," he added.
Joselu Mato had two clear chances earlier to score, but missed and for that he apologised to the fans in celebration of the goal he finally scored in stoppage time.
At the end of the match, not only Bellingham stood up for him, but also Ancelotti, who considered that he should not apologise: "Joselu has done his job. Not just today. I don't ask a striker to score goals, although when he gets the chance he has to be clinical. He has worked very well and only has to apologise when he doesn't work and he has always done it very well", he said.
