The Colombian player, who arrives from Hellas Verona, will be the third Colombian to wear the ‘Bianconeri’ shirt in the history of the club. After the success of Juan Guillermo Cuadrado on the right flank, Cabal will now try to replicate him on the opposite side with much more defensive characteristics than his compatriot.

Juventus confirmed on Thursday the signing of Colombian left-back Juan Cabal. He comes from Hellas Verona, where he has played for the last two seasons after joining the ‘Calcio’ side in August 2022 from Atletico Nacional in his native country. Cabal will be the third Colombian player in the ‘Vecchia Signora’, but he picks up the baton directly from the historic Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, as Andres Tello never made his debut in an official match.
12.8 million euros have been the reason why Juan Cabal, who shone at the end of last season in Verona, has joined the Turin club. Unlike Cuadrado, a converted right winger who often played as an attacking winger for Juventus, Cabal plays on the left flank and has a much more defensive profile, in line with what Thiago Motta wants for that area of the pitch.
The Cali-born player made his Serie A debut for Hellas Verona on 11th September 2022, as a substitute in a 2-0 defeat in Rome against Lazio. His club underwent several coaching changes that season and Juan Cabal paid for it, as he had no continuity and almost always played as a substitute.
At the end of the 2022-23 season, the left-back, who could not boast much experience in Colombia before coming to Italy, made only 12 appearances for Hellas Verona, with only 3 starts and 3 cautions. It was in the 2023-24 season, especially at the end of the season, that Juan Cabal confirmed his great future in Italian football.
