Real Madrid's midfielder Jude Bellingham was awarded Real Madrid's ‘Mahou Five Star Player’ award for the 2023-24 season, and acknowledged feeling "blessed", highlighting the honour he feels to play with his current club teammates.
With 23 goals in 42 appearances, Bellingham has been a key part of Real Madrid's success in his first season at the club, winning the Champions League, La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup.
"I am really proud to achieve this in my first year. It makes me very happy and I am very grateful to the fans for choosing me. I am very happy to be here and to be part of this family. I hope they enjoyed watching me play. It's been a great year,’ he said as he collected the award.
"To be honest, I love every minute and every second of being here. It's hard to pick one word or one sentence to describe it. Every time I go out there I feel blessed. To play with these players, with this team, it's an honour," he added to the club's media.
Looking back on his recent season with Real Madrid, which he will close with England at the European Championship in Germany, Bellingham picked out some unforgettable moments from his first season in Spain.
"I'll keep a few moments. My first goal against Barcelona, from outside the box, was a really good moment because it got us back in the game after being out of it. I really enjoyed that goal. I also love the goal against Napoli, with the dribble," he said.
