Fede Valverde now knows the punishment he could face after the 'Baena incident'. According to information revealed by 'COPE' on Wednesday, a judge has proposed a four-match ban against the Madrid player.
Villarreal's Baena reported an attack by the Madrid midfielder after the two teams played each other in April. He claimed that the Uruguayan punched him in the parking lot after the match was over.
Baena suffered a bruise on his face and decided to go to the courts. This action, according to Valverde's version, would have been a reaction on his part after Baena made an offensive comment about his son in the previous duel (January 19 in Copa del Rey).
Now, the Competition Committee must decide on this proposal. If confirmed, Valverde would be out for the first 4 matchdays, in which Madrid will face Athletic Bilbao, Almeria, Celta and Getafe.
