Jurgen Klopp gives Joel Matip injury update
It appears that the injury Matip suffered in Liverpool's 4-3 win over Fulham is more serious than first thought. Klopp has confirmed that he is concerned about the defender and cannot say how long he will be out of action.

Liverpool defender Matip suffered an injury in Liverpool's 4-3 win over Fulham. The player hurt his ankle and was unable to continue playing and had to be replaced by Konate. Jurgen Klopp confirmed the bad news for the Reds at a press conference.
"We lost Joel. We obviously have no scan yet but after what you hear and can see, that will not be a short one. Unlucky but we have to get through this," he said. This absence from the Anfield squad could open the door to a move in the January transfer window.
Currently on the Reds' injury list are Matip, Robertson, Alisson, Diogo Jota, Thiago and Bajcetic. But it's not all bad news for Liverpool as Alisson and Diogo Jota, both with hamstring problems since the 1-1 draw against Manchester City, are making progress in their recovery.
"Diogo was running outside yesterday on his birthday," claimed Klopp. "He’s going in the right direction but no-one has told me he will be back in team training today. Ali is closer but not available for tomorrow, definitely." Alisson is expected to be fully fit for Klopp's side's away game against Manchester United on 17 December.
