Real Madrid picked up their fifth consecutive win after defeating Alaves and are already thinking about next Sunday's Madrid derby against Atletico. Carlo Ancelotti, in a press conference, gave his first impressions of the league triumph.
"This is football, football is like that. When you see that the game is over with a mistake, it's enough for them to score the first goal, the rival team is full of confidence and yours is full of mistrust and this can happen. We don't want it to happen, but sometimes it can. The team played very well and this gives us confidence," he began.
Ancelotti showed his concern about the yellow cards received for protesting: "I repeat what I said the other day, you have to get used to it and we haven't got used to it. We've had three or four yellow cards for protesting and we have to avoid that. Fair or unfair, we have to adapt to the new rules".
"I simply told him that I thought the yellow cards were excessive. We had no problem talking about it," he said of his final conversation with the referee.
Kylian Mbappe set off alarm bells after he asked to be substituted due to physical problems, although the Italian played down the issue: "He's fine, it's just a niggle. He asked to be substituted to avoid problems".
Another of the big controversies of the game was the possible sending off of Endrick after his kick at Mourino: "I can't give my opinion because I didn't see it, but we discussed the matter after the game without any problems".
