As Juventus take on Benfica in the final league-phase match of the Champions League on Wednesday, the 'Bianconeri' will be deprived of Andrea Cambiaso's services at the Allianz Stadium.
“He had problems with his ankle, he doesn’t feel 100% ready and so Andrea will take some time to recover”, Juventus manager Thiago Motta told reporters during Monday's press conference.
Despite the defender's absence, Motta reassured that his players will be aiming for the victory in the Portuguese's visit. "Our objective is to win, we train daily for that. We are putting in the maximum effort because we are not satisfied," he added.
Juventus sit in 17th position with 12 points in the league-phase standings, which is not quite enough to guarantee them a place in the knockout stages. But with teams sitting very closely in the table, a top-eight finish is still in the cards for the Italians.
