Juventus have annnounced on Tuesday that Gleison Bremer has successfully completed surgical treatment after tearing his ACL in the Champions League match against RB Leipzig on Tuesday, The defener was forced off the pitch just after 6 minutes of play.
Diagnosis revealed that the Brazilian suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury following an awkward twist to his left knee, and will be out for the rest of the season as a result. The 'Bianconeri' confrmed that the surgery was carried out successfully in the morning via an official statement.
"Gleison Bremer underwent surgery this morning to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. The operation, performed at the Hôpital Privé Jean Mermoz in Lyon by Dr. Bertrand Cottet-Sonnery in the presence of Juventus medical director Dr. Luca Stefanini, was perfectly successful and the player will begin the rehabilitation process in the coming days with a view to resuming competitive activity," read the statement.
Juventus will get back to action after the international break as they see themselves go up against Lazio in Serie A, before hosting Stuttgart in matchday three of the Champions League. Thiago Motta's side will play the crucial league crunch against Inter Milan on the 27th of October.
