Juventus are entering a new era this season after the departure of Massimiliano Allegri and the arrival of Thiago Motta. The Italian-Brazilian has landed in Turin with the idea of making changes to the ‘Bianconeri’ squad.
Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners is one of the main targets of the former Bologna coach. The ‘Vecchia Signora’ sent a proposal of 55 million euros (including variables) that the ‘Dea’ rejected.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Turin side are not giving up on the Dutchman and have improved their first offer. The amount would be 52 million euros fixed plus another 7 in add-ons.
The player is waiting for an agreement to be reached between the clubs, as his desire is to leave the Bergamo side. In fact, he refused to train with his teammates with the aim of forcing his transfer.
'Le Zebre' has already strengthened his midfield with Khephren Thuram from Nice and Douglas Luiz, signed from Aston Villa. Both have been brought in to replace Adrien Rabiot, who has not renewed his contract, and the presumed sale of Weston McKennie.
