Juventus are in full motion to sign a defender during the January transfer window following the absences of Bremer and Cabal. The defensive pair face an extensive period on the sidelines due to their respective injuries.
The Brazilian's season is over, as he tore his ACL during a Champions League match against RB Leipzig last month. Meanwhile, Cabal has seemingly picked up an injury while training with Colombia. The South American national team confirmed on Monday that the Cabal has left the camp to fly back to Turin as he awaits to be assessed by the Juventus medical staff. First impressions suggest an ACL injury for the Colombian as well.
The injury blow has prompted Juventus to look for an immediate replacement, with PSG defender Milan Skriniar reportedly being the chosen player, as per 'Gazzetta dello Sport'. The former Inter Milan captain has not been able to shine in France and a return to the Italian top-flight could be an opportunity to return to the spotlight.
The same report suggests that the decision to go after Skriniar would be short-term for the 'Bianconeri', who see the Slovakia international as a solid option to alleviate costs. That said, Tottenham's Dragusin is also on the Serie A giants' radar, as the signing of Skriniar would highly depend on the player himself.
