Danilo swapped Manchester City for Juventus in the summer of 2019 to try his luck in Serie A. As the seasons went by, the Brazilian full-back took on a more important role in the Italian side's ranks and was even named captain.
However, Motta's arrival on the bench last summer has seen him drop down the pecking order to the point where he has only made 5 starts so far this season.
The Brazilian's diminishing playing time has led to speculation about a possible move to Napoli, although Juventus director Giuntolio has made it clear that they have no plans to sell him and in fact, intend to reinforce the defence in January.
"We didn’t talk about anything with Danilo or Napoli. He’s our captain and we are very happy to keep Danilo. We’re not planning to sell any centre back in January… we will sign one," he told 'Sky'.
