Arkadiusz Milik's fitness issues continue, as the striker suffered an injury to his right knee. The injury comes after he had sustained a previouys knee injury, for which he faced a period of two months on the sidelines, missing out on the Euros with Polan in the summer. Juventus announced that the player underwent an arthroscopic surgery on Wednesday following the injury.
The club released a statement in the morning on their official website that reads: "Earlier today Arkadiusz Milik underwent arthroscopic suturing of the medial meniscal remnant of his left knee. The surgery was carried out at the Villa Stuart clinic by Prof. Pier Paolo Mariani in the presence of the club's Head of Health Dr. Luca Stefanini. The timing of his recovery will be determined following the forthcoming medical checkups:"
As a result, Milik will be unavailble for an undisclosed amount of time as Juventus wait to establish the timing of his return. Juventus boss Thiago Motta will have to continue the season without the 30-year-old.
Although he was yet to make an appearance for Juventus this season, Milik was an important asset for the 'Bianconeri' from the bench, scoring nine goals throughout the past season, scoring seven of them in the Serie A.
