Italian Fiorentina striker Moise Kean reported racist insults on social media this morning following his side's defeat to Inter Milan at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, which the Viola have already reported to the relevant authorities.
Kean posted on his Instagram account the message ‘Still, in 2025...’ in reference to a series of comments he received overnight.
The footballer took screenshots of these messages and made public the profiles of those who uttered the insults: ‘Ape’ or ‘there are no Italian blacks’ are some of the examples of the insults Kean received.
Fiorentina issued a statement to defend and support its player: "The “Viola” club expresses its closeness to Moise Kean, victim of strong racist attacks on social networks at the end of the match against Inter in Milan. The perpetrators of these acts have been reported to the competent authorities".
On the football front, Kean is enjoying one of the best moments of his career and, established as a regular starter for Fiorentina and a regular in Italy's squad, is the second top scorer in Serie A with 15 goals.
