Koke closer to renewing Atletico contract

Koke and Atletico Madrid have made progress in their negotiations to reach an agreement for the midfielder's renewal, according to journalist Matteo Moretto. The Spaniard wants to stay at the club and both parties have advanced talks in recent days.
The journalist has assured that in the last few hours there have been positive contacts between the two parties. Specifically, since last Thursday, player and club have come closer together and are optimistic.
Nothing has been signed or agreed yet. The current captain has until 30 June to reach a deal with Atletico if he wants to stay at the Spanish club. The first step has been taken, but several matters need to be finalised before a contract extension can be made official.
This season he is playing in most of his team's matches. Koke Resurreccion has played 36 games in which he has not scored, but he has provided four assists.
