The match has been billed as "a final before the final", with the winners progressing to the quarter-finals of the prestigious competition, while the losers are eliminated. Despite Real Madrid's slight advantage, Toure believes the English side has what it takes to secure a comeback.
"It's going to be an exciting match," Toure told Egyptian website Kora Plus. "The first game was thrilling, and I expect the second one to be just as intense. Both teams know each other well, and we'll see beautiful football. The best team will win. I believe City can turn it around. For me, they do. I trust City to win the game. They're too good to let a dream slip away."
One player who could play a key role in City's comeback is Omar Marmoush, who is in high spirits after scoring his first-ever hat-trick for the club. Toure, who knows the player's potential, praised the Egyptian forward. "He's one of the best players in Africa and the world. He has immense potential, and he will showcase it in the Premier League."
Toure also commented on his adaptation to City's unique style, stating that it took time but now the player has learned how to play within the team's system. "Marmoush is a great person and a good player. He’ll do well at Manchester City, no doubt," he added.
