Spain and France will meet in the semi-finals of Euro 2024. Jules Kounde will be reunited with some of his Barcelona teammates, as well as Jesus Navas, with whom he shared dressing room at Sevilla.
The French centre-back went on the 'Telefoot' programme on the 'TF1' channel and was asked about several of them. On Pedri and his injury: "I didn't send him any messages, I called him and talked to him a little about his condition."
Moreover, he also spoke about Lamine Yamal and his emergence: "It's impressive to see what he has achieved this season at such a young age, especially with all the expectations surrounding him at Barcelona, one of the clubs with a lot of media attention."
"Lamine is a threat, but I believe the team's main strength lies in their unity. There are very talented players, as we saw against Germany, where two substitutes, Dani Olmo and Mikel Merino, made the difference," he added.
Finally, Jules Kounde said he was not afraid of Spain: "That word is too significant". The Frenchman is Deschamps' first choice at right-back and was voted 'MVP' of the Round of 16 clash against Belgium.
