Toni Kroos showed against Bayern Munich that he still has plenty of energy left in him. Although UEFA named Vinicius Jr as player of the match, the German midfielder carried the weight of the game.
Real Madrid fear that the German player will say goodbye at the end of the season. He himself assured on Tuesday that he had not yet made a decision.
According to 'Cadena SER', Kroos has decided to continue at the Santiago Bernabeu but will not make it official until the end of the Champions League tie against Bayern Munich.
Kroos has always taken his future calmly. Last year he was in the same situation and finally decided to continue, which has allowed him to be even more important this campaign.
At 34 years of age, he still manages the midfield to his heart's content. The German will continue for at least one more season, following the renewal policy of the Spanish side.
But Kroos is not the only player whose contract is up. The likes of Luka Modric, Nacho Fernandez, Kepa and Daniel Ceballos are also coming to the end of their contracts at the end of the year.
The latter two are likely to leave, while the first may be offered a contract renewal and the latter will decide whether he wants to stay or look for a more exotic destination.
