Kvaratskhelia is better than the whole of Spain, says Georgia's Mamardashvili

The euphoria conquered both the Georgian national team and the country, whose streets became a party after beating Portugal and advancing as third in the group stage of the European Championship. The high still lingers, for example, in a Giorgio Mamardashvili who believes that the star of his national team surpasses the whole of Luis de la Fuente's team.
"I think Kvaratskhelia is better than the whole of Spain. I'm not going to say we're going to win, but we're going to fight and we'll see what happens," he said. The Valencia goalkeeper described the 7-1 defeat against 'La Roja' in the qualifiers for this tournament as "bad luck", and admitted that his opponent is the favourite: "For me, Spain are the favourites to win the European Championship. Georgia, on the other hand, is a small country, but with a big heart and we have to fight to the maximum to see what happens".
When questioned about what worries him about the Spanish team, he said: "Almost all of them. Yamal has a lot of quality: he scores goals, gives assists.... They also have, in my opinion, the best goalkeeper of the season in La Liga. We will have to fight and stay focused, at this level, as we have done so far".
In addition, he also spoke about to his future, a question mark that will be resolved very soon: "It will be clear before Sunday afternoon," he told the Spanish media, including 'EFE', in Velbert, a small town in western Germany where Georgia are preparing for the continental tournament.
