"La Liga leaders? We want to be top at the end of the season"

Midfielder Frenkie de Jong celebrated that Barcelona have regained La Liga lead with Monday's victory over Rayo Vallecano (1-0), but warned that “there is still a long way to go”.
The Dutchman acknowledged, in statements to 'Movistar LaLiga', that the players are “happy for the victory” and that it is “good” to have regained first place, but qualified that all teams are “very close” and that “there is still nothing to celebrate”. “It's good to be leaders, but we want to be at the top at the end of the season,” he added.
He also stressed that matches like this one have to be won “to win something at the end of the season” and admitted that Barca did not play their best game, but put in value the clean sheet.
“Rayo is a good team that presses very well and it was difficult for us to play the ball out from the back,” added the Dutch player.
