Javier Tebas is back with his idea of sending La Liga abroad. For a couple of years now, the president has been trying everything he can to get a Spanish domestic league match played in Miami.
For the 2024-25 season, Javier Tebas has a new plan and it involves Barcelona-Atletico playing at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami and not in Barcelona, or at least that's what ‘Relevo’ claims.
The match between ‘Cules’ and ‘Colchoneros’ is set for matchday 18, to be played between 20th and 22nd December, pending confirmation of the schedule.
Both Barcelona and Atletico, according to the aforementioned source, would welcome La Liga's proposal, as it would provide both clubs with a significant financial boost.
For the moment, the idea is only an outline. 'Relevo‘ stresses that La Liga has not yet even communicated these plans to the Federation, nor has it let the Spanish Footballers’ Association (AFE) know about them.
