"Playing in the United States is a dream for me. When I go there, I want it to be in the best possible conditions, but it's certainly a goal for the future." These are Antoine Griezmann's words to 'Get French Football News' at an event in June 2023.
Months later, at a press conference in September, he repeated: "I understand those who have gone to play in Arabia, we are talking about incredible sums of money. Could I go? It's not an easy decision, but as you know, the MLS remains my goal."
At the end of July 2024, the French striker's oft-repeated dream seems to be closer than ever to coming true. According to 'L'Equipe', Los Angeles FC are very serious about Antoine Griezmann and the player is thinking about it. The issue is between leaving now or in 2025, but his future is inevitably in the United States.
Moreover, according to the French daily, Griezmann's contract, which runs until 2025 - although with an optional extra year - has a clause that would allow him to leave this summer for around 10 million euros.
At the moment, the player and his family are thinking a lot about this possibility. For Los Angeles FC, it would not be a problem to sign him now or have to wait for him.
