Lamine Yamal's father safe after stabbings

On Wednesday night, Spanish newspaper 'La Vanguardia' reported that Lamine Yamal's father had been stabbed in Frank Marshall Street in the Rocafonda neighbourhood of Mataro, Barcelona.
His prognosis was serious at first, but he was quickly stabilised and on Thursday he is due to be taken to the Can Ruti hospital, where two serious impacts of the knife with which he was attacked were detected.
The press close to the case reported these developments throughout the early hours of the morning. The details of the father's improvement came to light thanks to the journalist Victor Nahe, who specified that no surgery was necessary to heal the patient.
Lamine Yamal is aware of the whole situation but his club have not yet commented on it. This weekend, the youngster is expected to make his debut in the new La Liga season, so there is a lot of attention on Hansi Flick's call-up because it would be logical for the Spaniard to be released from his duties in the match against Valencia.
At the same time, a video has gone viral on social media showing the genesis of Lamine Yamal's father's argument with some of his neighbours. The police intervene to avoid bigger problems, but it is possible to observe a tense situation among those present.
