"Laporta never considered selling De Jong"

Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong gave an interview to 'De Telegraaf' before the start of the World Cup. The footballer spoke about the controversy surrounding his contract and he claimed that the Spanish club leaked the details.
Moreover, the Dutch international said that he forced his continuity at the Camp Nou. For this reason, Enric Masip decided to deny these rumours.
"Joan Laporta is the person at Barca who has most defended the continuity of Frenkie de Jong," he wrote on his social media.
"He never considered selling him. Never, not even with the delicate situation of the club," Masip concluded.
