Lazio are back for Mariano. The Italian side are working on signing the striker next season, an operation that seems relatively easy due to the player's contractual situation.
According to 'Corriere dello Sport' and 'Il Tempo', the Spanish-Dominican striker is at the top of Maurizio Sarri's list of candidates to reinforce the Roman attack for the upcoming season.
Mariano Diaz ends his contract with Real Madrid on 30th June. The lack of playing time and the sporting displeasure of Carlo Ancelotti are the triggers why his renewal at the Madrid side is unfeasible.
Lazio are also considering other options such as Federico Bonazzoli, Ferran Jutgla and Enes Unal, according to the aforementioned media. The Getafe striker was injured on Saturday with Turkey in the victory over Armenia (1-2).
Mariano Díaz has only played nine games so far this season. 57 minutes without a goal are not enough to consider a renewal, so his departure from Real Madrid is only a matter of time.
