The Three Lions go up against Greece and Finland in their upcoming Nations League fixtures, however, Lee Carsley was forced to make several changes from his initial squad selection as he was hit by the withdrawals of Morgan Gibbs-White, Ezri Konsa and Kobbie Mainoo due to injury.
Having worked with them during his time as under-21s, the England boss has called up Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones and Newcastle United full-back Tino Livramento to replace the injury-hit players. The new arrivals at the England camp have been called up in the past, but they are yet to register a cap for the senior team.
The upcoming internationals could be a chance for the duo to make their first feature for the senior squad, with Curtis Jones being particularly tipped to make an appearance as he reports claim he is a favourite of the interim manager. According to the 'Mirror', the Red midfielder is 'a like-for-like replacement' for Kobbie Mainoo, who was ruled out for fitness concerns.
Konsa's replacement Livramento was last called up to the first team in the Three Lions' previous Nations League clashes against Republic of Ireland and Finland. The full-back was unfortunately left spectator as he failed to get onto the pitch in either of the games.
With Jones and Livramento, Carsley is back to a 23-man squad ahead of the Greece match at Wembley. Man City star Jack Grealish has missed training on Wednesday due to a minor knock, while Harry Kane is currently training by himself following an injury scare in the Bundesliga.
