Leeds United have reportedly rejected Real Betis' first offer for defender Diego Llorente, according to journalist Adam Pope. The Andalusian club wanted to sign Diego Llorente for less than five million euros, which was the purchase option that Roma had agreed with the English club and did not exercise, but at the moment there is no agreement, although negotiations are still open.
Real Betis want to sign Llorente, who turns 31 in August and for whom Leeds paid Real Sociedad 20 million euros four years ago, as after the withdrawal of Sokratis and the transfer of Chadi Riad they only have the services of German Pezzella, currently in the Copa America, and Marc Bartra, who has just come back from a long injury, as well as the young Senegalese Nobel Mendy.
The La Liga club have been negotiating the signing of one or two centre-backs for some time and also made an offer of around five million euros to Internacional de Porto Alegre for 50% of Vitao, although that offer was also not accepted by Inter, who are asking for 10 million euros for 80% of the centre-back, so the sporting directors are working on other options.
