Leipzig to compete with Union Berlin for Isco to replace injured Olmo

Germany are keen on Isco. The Spanish midfielder has been without a club since he left Sevilla in the middle of December following a poor half a season at the Sanchez-Pizjuan stadium. Now, Union Berlin, Juventus and RB Leipzig are the main candidates to get him as a free agent. The latest team to join the race is Leipzig, 'Sky Sport' reports.
Leipzig's plan is to sign him to cover Dani Olmo, who will be out for a several weeks due to a muscle tear he suffered against Stuttgart. Those from the capital want the Spaniard to bolster their attack. Therefore, Leipzig have more reason to bid for a player who Union have not ruled out signing.
The former Real Madrid man has never been in the Bundesliga, so these options could be attractive to him. His footballing career has been going downhill for several seasons. He fell out of favour at the Santiago Bernabeu and so he went to play for Sevilla. However, differences with the Andalusians led to him leaving there.
The journalist who revealed information that Union Berlin and RB Leipzig are going to compete for Isco says that it will be a hard fought battle. "It's hot," Plettenberg said on his Twitter. Juventus are also lying in wait in case the German sides fail to get him.
