Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz is having a superb season as he has scored six goals and provided nine assists in 15 competitive matches.
As a result, several top European clubs such as Barcelona, Manchester City and Liverpool are keeping an eye on his situation to try to sign him in the January transfer window. However, they will not have it so easy.
Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes denied rumours of his winter departure and told reporters that they are "a football club" and "not a bank". Moreover, he said they will not consider any offer no matter how high it is.
"No, no one has approached us - and no one needs that. We are a football club. Not a bank," he told reporters.
