Robert Lewandowski is excelling in his first season at Barcelona. The Polish striker left Bayern Munich this summer with a year left on his contract. Hasan Salihamidzic, the Bavarian club's sporting director, was interviewed by 'Bild'.
The manager explained how the team said goodbye to the striker and also revealed that he had a chat with him at the Ballon d'Or gala: "We spoke in Paris, he is performing very well, scoring a lot of goals at Barcelona".
"We will try to do our best, but of course I am more focused on Bayern than Barcelona," he said of Wednesday's game, which could leave the striker out of the Champions League and send him to the Europa League.
"My father taught me that when you leave, you should never do it in a bad way. Lewandowski brought champagne and we said goodbye as friends," the manager explained.
