Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski was forced off in the Champions League group stage match against Porto with an ankle injury. Since then, he has been unavailable for the Catalan side. However, he doesn't rule out his availability for the next 'El Clasico'.
"From Wednesday to Friday I rested. I have been working and recovering since Friday. This is the most important time for the ankle to rest," he told 'WP SportoweFakty'.
"I will be able to give more updates next week, but it looks better than many people thought. There is no return date. It all depends on how the ankle reacts. If I'm not in good form, I won't force myself to play," he added.
Neither the Polish striker nor Barcelona will force him to return to action as soon as possible, i.e. they will respect his recovery time until he is fully available for coach Xavi Hernandez.
