Robert Lewandowski's future seems to be increasingly clear. Faced with rumours of a possible departure of the player from FC Barcelona, his agent, Pini Zahavi, has once again repeated that the Pole is staying at the Catalan side.
Zahavi spoke to Polish media outlet 'Meczyki.pl' about Lewandowski's future: "He is 100% staying at Barcelona." The striker has a contract with the 'Cules' until 2026.
"He wants to play one more year in Catalonia. He has signed a four-year contract. The last one will depend on his performances in the 2024-25 season and includes a clause that provides for the possibility of unilateral termination of the agreement if Lewy does not play 55 per cent of the minutes," he added.
On the other hand, the agent was asked about an alleged meeting with Laporta and Deco: "This is nonsense". He also stated that Barcelona do not want to sell him and that it is not necessary to transfer him in order to be able to sign other players. He also explained that the Pole's high salary is not a problem either.
Robert Lewandowski's campaign has not been the most brilliant of his career. The Pole has played 45 games in which he has scored 24 goals (the previous season he scored 32 goals in 46 games) and provided 8 assists. It is presumed to be his lowest scoring season in recent years and, collectively, his club has been left with a clean sheet in titles.
