The second game in Group B proved a tight affair, which ended in a goalless draw between the two sides. Lewandowski will not be happy with his penalty miss which ultimately proved the difference between one and three points for Poland.

Group B's second mantch of the day offered a dry first half, which was just edged by Mexico. Martino's side had a couple of chances on goal, which Szczesny was always equal to. Once out for the second period, Poland looked keen to get on with business and they were soon rewarded with a golden opportunity. After Lewandowski was given a penalty after a VAR review, he ended up missing the resulting spot kick, wasting the chance to find the opener.
What followed was similar to the first half, with both sides unable to put anything meaningful on target.
This result leaves Mexico second in the group, as they prepare to face favourites Argentina. Poland have ended up in third position, and look ahead to their clash against a confident Saudi Arabia side.
