This unique event aims to support former players and their welfare, honouring those who have shaped Liverpool and Chelsea's history. The match marks 20 years since the Blues' unforgettable 2004/05 season, in which they secured their first league title in 50 years and their inaugural Premier League crown.
That same season saw Chelsea triumph over Liverpool in the League Cup final, and now, players from those memorable clashes will reunite to relive the rivalry on the pitch.
"Following the success of the Legends of Europe match in memory of Gianluca Vialli at Stamford Bridge last year, we are thrilled to announce this next Legends match. It will celebrate the historic rivalry between the clubs while highlighting the incredible work both organisations do in their communities and for former players," said Chelsea Foundation chief executive Laura Cordingley.
The charity match is scheduled to take place on 22 March 2025. Details on ticket availability will be revealed soon, with fans eagerly awaiting the chance to witness footballing icons come together for a cause that transcends the game itself.
