Liverpool confident to agree new deal with Ibrahime Konate
Liverpool are optimistic about the renewal of Ibrahima Konate, with whom they hope to reach an agreement soon as negotiations are progressing well, Fabrizio Romano has reported.

Ibrahima Konate has been taking on an increasingly important role since joining Liverpool from Leipzig in the summer of 2021. The French centre-back became one of the leaders of the Reds' defence in Klopp's final season in charge and has remained a regular starter under Arne Slot.
In fact, the club are so pleased with the French centre-back's performances over the past few seasons that they are in talks to agree a new contract, as his current one expires on 30th June 2026.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Merseyside outfit are optimistic about Konate's possible renewal and hope to be able to announce it after Quansah extended his commitment to the club, as he is also considered a crucial part of the club's project.
Konate has made 99 appearances for Liverpool since joining the English club, 86 of them as a starter, scoring five goals and providing three assists. Recently the Reds centre-back has been the talk of social media after his arrival at Clairefontaine went viral for the peculiar outfit he was wearing
