Liverpool eye Zubimendi to bolster their midfield
Liverpool have made few moves this summer transfer window, but it seems that the Reds want to use the last month to reinforce a number of positions, which is why they have set Real Sociedad's Zubimendi as their target to strengthen their midfield.

Liverpool are having a quiet summer, with the Anfield outfit one of the few teams to have made hardly any moves for the upcoming Premier League season in this summer transfer window.
That seems to have changed after reports from 'The Times' and Fabrizio Romano claimed that Arne Slot's side are considering bringing in La Liga side Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi as their new midfielder.
The Spanish player has already been linked with Barcelona but the Basque club have always held on to his release clause which is set at 60 million euros in case someone wants to sign him.
After the change of manager Liverpool plan to implement a more possession style of play and Zubimendi would fit in well as he is a technical player.
But it will be a separate matter to convince the Basque player, as he has stated on several occasions that he is most comfortable at Real Sociedad and has a contract until 2027, so it will not be easy to take him away from the La Liga club to join Liverpool.
