Arsenal have established themselves in the Premier League in recent years as Manchester City's main competitors for the domestic title, a position previously held by Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool. The Gunners have come within a whisker of beating the Sky Blues in the title race in the past two seasons.
In another key title clash, the Gunners managed to rescue a point at the Etihad despite playing a man down for the entire second half. Arteta's side were again accused of playing with a low block and time-wasting, something that did not go down particularly well with much of the Cityzens' squad.
Bernardo Silva was asked after the game what the main difference between Liverpool and Arsenal is and the Portuguese midfielder did not mince his words. "Well, perhaps because Liverpool has already won the Premier League and Arsenal hasn’t.
"Liverpool at that time had also won a UCL, while Arsenal hasn’t. Liverpool always faced us head-on, to win matches. From that perspective, our games against Arsenal haven’t been like the matches against Liverpool were, and still are," he told 'TNT'.
