Liverpool set to land Valencia's Mamardashvili on €35m deal
Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili trained normally on Thursday morning. At the same time, his agent, Levan Seturidze, is finalising an agreement with Liverpool for his transfer for around 35 million euros. Howecer, the Reds' plan is not for him to become a first-team regular under Arne Slot, as that is Alisson's job, but for him to go on loan to Bournemouth for a season.

Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili trained normally on Thursday in the penultimate session prior to Valencia's La Liga opener against Barcelona, although his possible move to the Premier League is still pending. The goalkeeper's agent, Levan Seturidze, is in Valencia and, according to ‘Relevo’, he already has an agreement with Liverpool, who are interested in signing the goalkeeper who made the most saves at this European Championship despite losing in the last 16.
Liverpool are willing to pay 35 million euros, although, in principle, Valencia hope to get 40 million euros. In addition, the English club is considering the possibility of landing Mamardashvili in the Premier League, as they would like to loan him out during the first season, a fact that cannot be done due to the rules of the competition. Bournemouth would be delighted to welcome him.
The Premier League does not allow a player signed in one transfer window to be loaned to another Premier League club in the same window. One option would be for the sale to be completed by the end of next year and for Mamardashvili to go directly on loan to Bournemouth, who would pay money to the Valencian club.
In any case, Mamardashvili was, on Thursday, one more in this penultimate training session, which was also completed, for the second consecutive day, by the Asturian winger Diego Lopez, who has recently joined the team after being in the Olympic Games.
