Atletico Madrid's Marcos Llorente will be out for the next three weeks with a right thigh muscle injury suffered in the first half of Wednesday's Champions League match against Benfica.
"Marcos Llorente has suffered a right thigh muscle injury, according to tests the Spanish player has undergone," the medical statement said after he was replaced by Nahuel Molina at the half-hour mark in Wednesday's clash in Lisbon.
"The No.14 will undergo physiotherapy sessions and rehabilitation work in the gym and the evolution of his injury will determine his return to competition," the club added of Llorente, who was already out for Sunday's La Liga game against Real Sociedad after his sending-off in the Madrid derby.
